In 2024, four teams registered for the 4 Cubes: Brussels, Gent, Leuven, and Brussels Black Beard Backgammon, aka The Pirates. The ladder format, culminating in a final between Brussels, the winner of 2023, and one of the three other teams, is explained in the announcement.
In September 2024, The Pirates played the first stage of the competition in and against Leuven. They won the duel, thereby advancing one level (report).
The next step on the ladder was the confrontation between Gent and The Pirates, played in October 2024. The third round turned out to be decisive, Gent winning narrowly (report).
The final between Gent and Brussels will be played on January 17, 2025. Stay tuned!
