Ed congratulates Geert
With emphatic wins over Nardy Pillards, Ed Baars, Michel Lamote and Paul Van Koningshoven, Belgium’s up-and-coming Geert VdS took the Rotterdam Open trophy.
Michel Lamote won the consolation after beating Rogier Van Gemert in the semi’s.
More Belgians made their presence felt. Toon Van Herreweghen and Patrick De Wilde (Leuven) took some scalps, but could not make it to the final rounds.
Gent’s Bert Van Kerckhove could not overcome unfriendly dice and was soon eliminated.
